Dreams of a Dying Romantic

I closed my eyes, and found myself gazing at my own house. The exterior looked exactly like I had always wanted it; the rosebushes surrounded the front patio, not just the walkway, and the trees were all clipped to perfection. The grass smelled freshly mowed, and was wet enough that I could tell the sprinklers had been turned off recently. The flowerbeds, too, were thriving in the Spring weather. 31,000 Feet Above Hiroshimai.//precautions?~an airbase in hiroshima The radar operator determined that the number of incoming aircraft was less than three. The American planes had been detected about an hour earlier, and it was alleviating to identify only a small formation. The air raid warning alert could be lifted. With a small sigh of relief, the radar operator rung for the Army Control Station in Hiroshima, and reported the approximate number of the planes. The voice on the other end thanked him, and ordered the air raid warning to be taken back; there was no real reason for fear. The Americans, besides, had dropped warning leaflets in other 31,000 Feet Above Hiroshima

I just stayed home to listen to my dad refuse to pay for the part of my brother's college costs that my mom cannot afford. Don't know what I hate more: my brother for choosing to go to an infinitely more expensive college just so he can go enjoy good weather and get boozed up, my dad for refusing to pay for it, or my mom for saying that she'll sell the house, suck her retirement funds dry, and pull money from my college savings to pay for it herself.

I honestly can't think any more. Taken too many things for granted, feeling disconnected from just about everything and everyone. Can I do anything about it? Would I? Funny the way things work. I was so narrow-minded, I never saw that the mountain I intended to climb was, in reality, only the walls of the pit I had fallen in long ago.
